OPPORTUNITIES TO NETWORK, LEARN AND COLLABORATE

One of the most important missions of The Latino Cancer Institute is to bring agencies and other stakeholders together to discuss issues of concern in the Latino cancer community. We convene in order to take action in areas that produce results through:

  •  increasing and deploying cancer education.
  •  access to screening and equitable care.
  • access to genetic testing and counseling.
  • increasing funding for Latino research.
  •  best practice programs to increase the medical-research pipeline.
  • policies that address the cancer continuum.

The Latino Cancer Institute Learning Hub

Educate, advocate, elevate: Latino cancer resources

Our upcoming Learning Hub will serve as a resource center designed to advance knowledge, foster collaboration, and drive positive change in Latino cancer care and research. A central platform for:

  • Promotora Selections: Culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach materials for Promotoras.
  • Cancer Insights: Curated scientific articles, research findings, and educational materials on Latino cancer issues for researchers, healthcare providers, and community advocates
  • Expert Forums: Opportunities to connect with leading experts in the field, participate in discussions, and stay informed about cutting-edge developments in Latino cancer research and care.
  • Resource Showcase: Tools, asset maps, and other practical resources to support work in Latino cancer care and research.
  • Collaborations & Initiatives: Highlighting both TLCI-led projects and collaborative efforts with partner organizations.

The Learning Hub aims to be an evolving platform that not only provides valuable information but also encourages active participation, fosters professional growth, and promotes the exchange of ideas to advance the field of Latino cancer care and research.
